At a time when it's all low floor, I'm sorry to say that it's horses for courses. The back road through Lochwinnoch and Kilbirnie is a demanding road and that's before the Haylie Brae! The new Mann Fastbus is the first of its type in Scotland and makes the journey a real pleasure. It's very quiet, smooth and comfortable and unlike service buses which don't have seatbelts, this bus is fitted with 3 point belts. In busy times, the massive capacity ( 57 seated and 12 standing) will make sure everyone gets on!!
This will be SOMETHING DIFFERENT - not in keeping with the type of vehicle we normally purchase. The Megarider is a new version of the demobus we had last month. It is specifically for use on the Largs to Braehead route. We were impressed by it's capacity and the fact that each seat is fitted with a three point seatbelt -
!!Safety - Comfort - Style!! The bus, or is it a coach?? is certified for 12 standees and has double doors to allow easy access. This huge, comfortable vehicle is french built / double glazed , with a first class heating system.Yip, your journey is going to get even better!!
Watch the website for more news and pictures prior to the launch, Wednesday 14th April.

We shall also be prepared to take it on the chin when things go wrong.

25 Years of Service
Yes it was August, 1984 when our first bus took to the road - a brand new Mellor, 16 seater luxury coach. We purchased a sleeping bag and undertook jobs of any description (with me catnapping between jobs overnight.)
This worked pretty well until I awoke in Glasgow at 7.00am when I should have been picking up my next load of passengers at 3.00am. Well at least they hadn't paid for the bus so they had the money for taxis!! (An expensive kip!) We have learned and no longer undertake private hire work of any description. For the last twenty years we have been fully committed to our service work. This way we know that all our buses and drivers are fit and ready to go first thing every morning and our loyal passengers know that they can rely on us.
